    About the seller

    Philip Raby began his Porsche journey in magazine publishing. He was involved with the early days of 911 & Porsche World, before going on to launch and edit Total 911, the World’s only magazine dedicated solely to the iconic Porsche 911. He has written several books on Porsche and has been a regular contributor to GT Porsche magazine. Philip Raby Specialist Cars was a natural progression of his passion.

    Ollie Barclay joined the team in 2020 as Service Director. He has been a Porsche specialist technician since leaving college and has worked on a vast array of Porsches, from the earliest air cooled 911s, to the latest production model Macans and everything in-between. Ollie keeps things moving in our service centre and looks after the team, ensuring a cheerful and efficient workplace.

    This 2005 Porsche 997 Carrera 4S Cabriolet is finished in Basalt Black Metallic with a matching full leather black interior.

    The 911 has a great specification, including heated hardbacked Sports seats, PCM with sat-nav, Litronic headlamps, cruise control, multifunction steering wheel, silver dials, Bose Sound Pack, rear Park Assist, autodip rearview mirror, auto wipers, and coloured crested wheel centres. A modern headunit adds Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity and a reversing camera. The car comes with a hard-top, which is unusual for a 997.

    The Porsche comes with a well-documented history folder. Of particular note, was an engine rebuild in 2015 at 82,000 miles. Most services have been at main dealers, with the last being by Porsche Portsmouth in May 2024 at 110,785 miles, so the car won't need another service until May 2026.
