Can you spot you or your car at Porsche Club GB’s annual Christmas gathering?
Sunday 11th December saw over three-and-a-half thousand enthusiasts brave the extreme weather to descend on Bicester Heritage for Porsche Club GB’s Christmas Party 2022.
Set on the former RAF WW2 airfield turned classic car hub, enthusiasts arrived for a full day of Porsche-themed family festivities in and around the main hangar, despite temperatures dipping well below freezing for the entirety of the day.
9WERKS was there in force with a 15-strong stand of Porsches outside the main hangar, which was exclusively reserved for our 9WERKS Radio Patreons. You can see our live video walkaround of our Porsches on display and the stories behind them here.
A true Christmas wonderland awaited Porsche enthusiasts inside the huge hangar though, with varied displays of Porsche sports cars interspersed between festive foodie stalls, handcrafted christmas gifts, and even santa himself!
The cars on display featured standout models from across the Porsche spectrum, with our highlights including a full arrangement of 911 Targas through the years. Elsewhere, you may well have recognised the 986 Boxster 25th anniversary restoration by our friends at Shorade Accident Repair, with our 9WERKS TV video documenting the full resto process last year.
Porsche Club GB promised its 2022 Christmas Party would be bigger and better than ever before, with the event open to all PCGB members and non-members (and even well-behaved dogs on a lead!). The event made for a spectacular way to close the 2022 Porsche show season, and the very fact such huge numbers braved freezing conditions and sometimes treacherous journeys to be a part of it, really is testament to the high levels of enthusiasm for the Porsche marque in this country.
9WERKS documented the day via the lens of talented photographer and 9WEKRS Radio host, Max Newman (@maxripcor on Instagram).
Can you spot yourself or your Porsche in our picture gallery? Feel free to share any of the photos you see here on social media, just give us a mention (@9werks.radio) with credit to the photographer, Max.
