INTRO / EXTERIOR
Friends Green Porsche present for sale this stunning Cobalt Blue 996 Carrera 4S with a full "six liner" engine rebuild just completed with us in preparation for sale, as well as other extensive "refresh" work totalling over £18,000-worth of works (detailed below). The coachwork is in impressive condition, with no dents, marks or previous repairs. The paintwork is also in very good standing, with minimal stone chips and a wonderful glossy finish, benefitting from our customary pre-sales detailing process. Cobalt Blue is a rare colour and looks fabulous on the wide body of the Carrera 4S. As a non-sun roof model, the roof-line is uncluttered and sleek looking. The Porsche was specified from new with the optional Sport Techno 18″ alloy wheels, which we have had refurbished in preparation for sale. The chrome to the optional Turbo twin oval tail pipe tips is clean and all of the lights on the car are in good presentable condition.
INTERIOR / SPEC
Inside the Porsche awaits a Metropol Blue leather interior, which coordinates well with the lighter blue exterior. The leather is supple and without any damage. Areas prone to wear, such as the driver’s side bolstering, steering wheel and handbrake lever are in excellent condition, and the carpets, dashboard and door cards are all brilliantly clean and unmarked. All electrical functions operate as Porsche intended, including the ice-cool air conditioning system, which has benefitted from new condensers, pipework and a re-gas with us in preparation for sale. A nice feature is the eye catching Arctic Silver interior components, such as centre consoles, air vent slats, instrument cluster surround and dashboard strip trim. Other optional equipment specified includes Porsche crested seat head rests, Tequipment aluminium embodied gear knob and handbrake lever, Bose sound system, PCM satellite navigation, 8-way electric adjustable seats with memory function, headlamp washer, Litronic xenon headlights, Park Distance Control, Porsche Sports (switchable) Exhaust (PSE), Sports Techno alloy wheels. There are two remote key fobs with the car.
MECHANICS / DRIVE
Significantly, we have just completed a full engine rebuild to the Porsche, including 6x new cylinder liners and an upgraded EPS cylindrical IMS bearing, future proofing the 3.6 litre flat 6 for the next next owner. Equipped with a new "switchable" sports stainless steel exhaust, a glorious noise is produced, with the benefit of being quietened at the touch of a button. The admired 6-speed manual gearbox passes through all speeds seamlessly and the clutch pedal is light, having been renewed while we completed the engine works. The handling is precise and responsive, having had a list of suspension components renewed with us in preparation for sale (detailed below). New Nangkang Sport tyres are fitted at the front and Pirelli P Zeros with 5 of tread are at the rear. The brake discs and pads are new in all four corners, providing excellent stopping ability.
SERVICE HISTORY / PREP WORK
A full servicing record is present, including the original maintenance booklet, with 13 intervals stamped. The leather owners wallet, containing all of the original booklets is also present, in additional to a folder of paperwork relating to the Porsche, such as maintenance invoices, historic MOT certificates and other miscellaneous documentation.
