9WERKS EXCLUSIVE: Porsche launches PCCM+ for the 997, 987 and E1 Cayenne
Factory retrofit sat nav and modern infotainment system now available on Porsche 997.1 911, 987 Boxster/Cayman and E1 Cayenne
Porsche Classic has delivered an early Christmas present with the launch of its eagerly-awaited PCCM+ double-din infotainment system for the 997.1 911, 987-generation Boxster and Cayman, as well as the E1 Cayenne.
Coinciding with the Porsche 997’s upcoming induction to the official Porsche Classic scheme in 2023, which marks ten years since new 997s left showrooms, the new PCCM+ features a 7-inch touchscreen, DAB+, as well as Apple CarPlay and GOOGLE Android Auto functionality and is available in the 997,987 and first-generation Cayenne for the first time.
Porsche itself hasn’t publicly launched PCCM+ for the 997/987 yet, opting for a soft launch as the unit is rolled out to its network of Porsche Centres worldwide. Some UK Porsche Centres have indicated to 9WERKS they could have availability of the unit as early as next week, though the likelihood is this will extend into very early 2023.
As such, 9WERKS is able to share worldwide part numbers and pricing for the new PCCM+ below:

The UK price of the new 997 PCCM+ unit is quoted £1,420 including VAT, with the maps SD card an additional £100 including VAT. Porsche France has the new PCCM+ listed at €1,650 including VAT.
You can expect broadly the same system as used in the popular PCCM+ unit for the 996/986, housed within a 997/987-looking fascia to match the interior of the sixth-generation 911 and second-gen Boxster. You can watch our in-depth review of the unit here.
