In 2021, the Porsche Boxster is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Porsche marked the occasion by launching the 718 25th edition earlier in the year, but Porsche Classic GB and Shorade Accident Repair (one of only a handful of Porsche Recommended body repairers in the UK) are going one better…
They're restoring a super early 986 Boxster in need of some love and TLC and creating a genuine 25th Anniversary special edition from one of the earliest Boxsters to arrive in the UK!
Even better, they're going to complete the task in little over a month, ready to unveil to enthusiasts at the NEC'c Classic Motor Show in the middle of November!
In Part 1, Shorade CEO Steve Shore tells us the unique story of this 986 chassis 301, and shows us around the car and points out its many imperfections, before work begins to turn this Boxster around in time for the show in a matter of weeks.
