I've bought a 40th Anniversary special edition 911

Introducing my fourth 996 purchase, a stunning 40 Jahre 911 from Paragon Porsche

After I released my ‘I’m buying another 911’ video to 9WERKS TV, the guessing-game began as to which 911 I’ve decided to purchase – particularly among members of our Driven (Not Hidden) Collective, with lively and good-natured chat taking place on our WhatsApp group as the Collective mulled over possible candidates.

Well, keen as I am to not let this drag on longer than it needs to, I am excited to say this weekend I shall collect this 40th Anniversary 911 from the brilliant team at Paragon Porsche, which I found on the 9WERKS Marketplace. 

I am beyond chuffed, for reasons which I shall go into elsewhere, and in good time. In short though I think the addition of a ’40 Jahre’ – a special edition with 1,963 produced to mark 40 years of 911 production back in 2003 – complements my lifestyle perfectly with Little Irish, which as I’ve said previously, I will keep.

Why? Little Irish is a skunkworks-inspired build for tanking all the miles on it I can muster, be it on road or track (50k miles in four years so far!). The 40 Jahre car is a unique and numbered-production factory special, which both my wife and I can enjoy on special occasions.

As mentioned in the video, I’ve bought the car blind, as I’ve always said I’d be happy to do so with a car from Paragon, so highly do I rate them. I also know what the 40 Jahre 911 is all about, having driven a couple of examples over the years. I’m putting my money where my mouth is, and it is a lot of money – for me.

I’ve been kept updated every step of the way with pictures and videos from Jamie and Jason as the 40 Jahre goes through prep so, as collection looms, excitement has reached fever pitch.
