PICTURE GALLERY: Flat Six show

A celebration of flat six individualism on track and turf at Goodwood, with plenty of Porsche pizzazz – can you spot your car in our gallery?

“I’m still reflecting on one of the best events I’ve ever attended,” so said DNHC member, Guy Feltham, in the aftermath of the magnificent Flat Six show – and it’s a sentiment echoed by everybody here at 9WERKS.

Held in the idyllic surrounds of Goodwood Motor Circuit, Flat Six show returned for a second instalment on Saturday, July 8th, to celebrate true individualism among the UK’s flourishing Porsche community.

From ‘bagged 964s to flatnose 997s; long-bonnet outlaw builds to electric 914s, the full spectrum of sheer Porsche expressionism was laid out on the idyllic lawns and covered paddocks punctuating Chichester’s storied race track.

Flat Six brought every facet of the Porsche community together for a truly eclectic event,
reaching every far-flung corner of car culture and melding it all together to create a truly unique show with variety and flair in abundance.

A typically relaxed, south coast vibe was reflected in the chilled beats emanating from the decks all day long, offset by the shrill of flat six engines chasing their redline out on track, thanks to Flat Six’s Porsche-only track day running concurrent to the static show. The track day alone was a masterstroke, offering attendees an extra dimension of entertainment away from the plethora of bespoke Porsche filling the paddocks.

9WERKS was also delighted to add further value to the occasion, with Porsche from our Driven (Not Hidden) Collective assembling on the 9WERKS lawn while members put faces to names and swapped stories in a warm and brotherhood-like atmosphere. Several of our friends from around the industry also rocked up as guests of 9WERKS, including Heritage Parts Centre, Philip Raby Cars and KAMM Manufaktur, to add further spice to the Flat Six spectacle.

Created by Jay McToldridge of Players Shows in partnership with Sean Matthews of RennEleven, Flat Six II built spectacularly on the format of the original event from 2022, with both organisers joining 9WERKS Radio and the DNHC for a live podcast recording.

9WERKS would like to thank Jay, Sean and the Flat Six team for delivering a stellar event which is already a must-attend feature of the UK enthusiast calendar. We can’t wait for 2024 already.

In the meantime, can you spot yourself or your ride from our online gallery? Feel free to grab any pics and share to your social media – please credit @Maxripcor who’s supplied these most excellent shots.
