Rothmans Porsche race car driven… on the public road!

9WERKS drives a 986 Boxster S specially prepared for the Porsche Classic Boxster Cup

We all dream of piloting a Rothmans-liveried Porsche race car… and thanks to the kindness of Steve Shore at Shorade Accident Repair I’ve done just that for my latest video!

Away from his day job as CEO at Shorade (a Porsche recommended body repairer) Steve races his 986 Boxster S in the Boxster Cup, a popular grassroots championship run by Porsche Club GB Motorsport.

Shorade are well versed when it comes to restorations of early Boxsters: here Steve explains how the company converted his car from an ordinary Boxster into a Rothmans-inspired race car, before 9WERKS is allowed to unleash it… on the public road!

GET YOUR LIVERY DESIGN ON A REAL-LIFE BOXSTER RACE CAR!
Steve and Shorade are refreshing the look of their 986 Boxster S for the forthcoming 2022 Boxster Cup season – and they’re giving YOU the chance to design the livery!
Steve has one stipulation: the car’s main hue is going to be Rubystone (an iconic Porsche colour) and the Boxster will retain its original ‘amber’ indicators. The rest is completely down to your imagination.
To enter, all you have to do is send your drawing or render of Steve’s 986 Boxster S (with hard top installed) to hello@9werks.co.uk by Monday 14th February 2022. The winning entry will have their design brought to life on Shorade’s Boxster S ready in time for the first race of the 2022 Boxster Cup on April 2nd. Good luck!
