What is a Porsche 356 ‘Notchback’?

The 356 is revered globally as Porsche’s predecessor to its iconic 911 sports car. With even the youngest variants now more than 60 years old, these days a 356 is a collector’s car, rarely seen on the road. Some 356s, though, are rarer than others – and our 356 debut on 9WERKS TV is a rare beast indeed… introducing the Porsche 356 ‘Notchback’! Notchbacks make up less than 2% of total Porsche 356 production, having been made in small numbers across just two model years.
