The Boxster Spyder features an uprated 3.4 litre direct fuel injection engine which develops 320 bhp (10hp more than the Boxster S) and also incorporates a number of weight-saving measures including a lightweight, manually operated hood and aluminium doors and boot lid. To save weight further, cup holders and the binnacle (usually over the top of the dials) are not present and 'RS style' door pulls are fitted. This leads, in standard form, to a weight saving of around 80kg over the Boxster S.
The body is lowered by 20mm to offer firmer handling, and features the distinctive Speedster 'humps' that cover the hood when stowed.
As standard the Spyder is fitted with a wind deflector, Porsche Stability Management, onboard computer, the Porsche Sound Package, 19" Boxster Spyder wheels, a colour coded centre console, LED daytime running lights and the black lightweight hood.
Factory-fitted options include touchscreen satellite navigation, the 7-speed PDK gearbox with Sport Design steering wheel, Guards Red seat belts, a switchable sports exhaust, rear parking sensors, the Sport Chrono Pack with Sport Plus and Bluetooth phone.
It has driven just 11,992 miles from new in 2011.
