    About the seller

    Philip Raby began his Porsche journey in magazine publishing. He was involved with the early days of 911 & Porsche World, before going on to launch and edit Total 911, the World’s only magazine dedicated solely to the iconic Porsche 911. He has written several books on Porsche and has been a regular contributor to GT Porsche magazine. Philip Raby Specialist Cars was a natural progression of his passion.

    Ollie Barclay joined the team in 2020 as Service Director. He has been a Porsche specialist technician since leaving college and has worked on a vast array of Porsches, from the earliest air cooled 911s, to the latest production model Macans and everything in-between. Ollie keeps things moving in our service centre and looks after the team, ensuring a cheerful and efficient workplace.

    This 1998 Porsche 996 Carrera 4 Tiptronic is finished in Ocean Blue Metallic, which is a shade lighter than the more common Midnight Blue, and complemented by factory 18-inch Turbo-look alloy wheels.

    The cabin is finished in full black leather. Options include rear Park Assist, sunroof, the original CD-22 radio, rear wiper and headlamp washers.

    This Porsche has a well-documented service history, which shows that the IMS bearing was replaced with a Vertex item by Autofarm in 2017; at the same time various other jobs were attended to at a cost of £2700. Other recent work of note includes a new water pump, new front brake discs, transmission service and more. A new Milltek sports exhaust was fitted in May 2022, at a cost of some £1600, and it sounds wonderful without being intrusive. The car will be serviced before sale, ready for the new owner.
