    About the seller

    Philip Raby began his Porsche journey in magazine publishing. He was involved with the early days of 911 & Porsche World, before going on to launch and edit Total 911, the World’s only magazine dedicated solely to the iconic Porsche 911. He has written several books on Porsche and has been a regular contributor to GT Porsche magazine. Philip Raby Specialist Cars was a natural progression of his passion.

    Ollie Barclay joined the team in 2020 as Service Director. He has been a Porsche specialist technician since leaving college and has worked on a vast array of Porsches, from the earliest air cooled 911s, to the latest production model Macans and everything in-between. Ollie keeps things moving in our service centre and looks after the team, ensuring a cheerful and efficient workplace.

    This 2001 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet looks fantastic with its rare Aerokit bodywork, lightweight two-piece 18-inch SportDesign wheels, and Seal Grey Metallic paintwork. The Aerokit consists of a deeper front spoiler, side skirts and a fixed rear wing, all of which transform the appearance of the 996.
    The cabin is finished in full Graphite Grey leather with a three-spoke leather-trimmed steering wheel and an original CDR22 radio/CD head unit. The car has PSM (Porsche Stability Management and a factory hardtop. An aftermarket exhaust system sounds wonderful without being intrusive.
    The Porsche comes with a well-documented service history. Work of note including a new power-steering rack and pipes, plus new front dampers and bushes, all at 86,000 miles. At 84,800 miles, the clutch, dual-mass flywheel and rear main seal were replaced, and an uprated IMS bearing from LN Engineering fitted. We shall service the car before sale, so it won't need another for 12 months.
