    About the seller

    Philip Raby began his Porsche journey in magazine publishing. He was involved with the early days of 911 & Porsche World, before going on to launch and edit Total 911, the World’s only magazine dedicated solely to the iconic Porsche 911. He has written several books on Porsche and has been a regular contributor to GT Porsche magazine. Philip Raby Specialist Cars was a natural progression of his passion.

    Ollie Barclay joined the team in 2020 as Service Director. He has been a Porsche specialist technician since leaving college and has worked on a vast array of Porsches, from the earliest air cooled 911s, to the latest production model Macans and everything in-between. Ollie keeps things moving in our service centre and looks after the team, ensuring a cheerful and efficient workplace.

    This 2011 Porsche Cayman S PDK is finished in Basalt Black Metallic with 19-inch Turbo 2 wheels and a subtle black tint to the windows.

    The interior is also black and features full leather, including the dashboard and doors, which is a rare option on 987s.

    The Porsche also features the all-important Sport Chrono which gives a chronometer atop the dash, plus Sport and Sport Plus Buttons. Press Sport, and lower gears are held longer, the throttle response is sharpened, and the traction control kicks in later. Sport Plus does the same but more so.

    The Cayman S is well specced in other ways, including cruise control (another rare 987 option), heated seats, automatic climate control (many 987s don’t have this), PCM (Porsche Communication Management with Bluetooth and satnav), Sound Pack, rear Park Assist, a multifunction steering wheel, 12-volt socket in the passenger footwell, and the Universal Audio Interface.

    In addition, the car. has been updated with a Carnewal exhaust which sounds wonderful without being intrusive.

    The Porsche has a well-documented service history, with the last service and spark plug change being at the start of 2025, so another service won’t be required until 2027. Other recent work of note includes a new air-conditioning compressor and condensers, the replacement of various suspension bushes, new coil packs, new brake pipes and new rear discs and pads, and much more.

    Being a second-generation 987, the Cayman S benefits from the super-efficient DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) engine, plus restyled front and rear lights, and an updated interior.
